PGA Championship 2010

One of the leading events on the European Tour, the BMW PGA Championship is held at Wentworth in May of every year and attracts the biggest names in world golf.

Won in previous years by the likes Sevi Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Ian Woosnam, Bernard Langer and Colin Montgomerie, who because the first to win a hat-trick of titles in 1998-2000, last year's event went to Paul Casey as he joined a star-studded roll of honour.

Casey will be back to defend his crown on while some of the leading names in world golf, including Lee Westwood and Padraig Harrington, are also scheduled to start the event, which begins on May 20.

This year's PGA Championship will see the players head into unchartered territory, however, with Wentworth having undergo significant changes over the winter. With the input of Wentworth resident Ernie Els, many of the holes have been altered or improved to offer more of a test and all 18 greens have been relaid.
