As you may recall Robocop followed three principles.
Serve the public trust. Protect the innocent. Uphold the law.
Judging by current rumours, there may be a new one: discuss the meaning of life.
In one of Hollywood's least likely production decisions for, er, ever, the proposed Robocop IV.
The film – a sequel, not a remake, according to the brilliantly named horror website BloodyDisgusting – looks likely to be directed by Darren Aronofsky.
If the name isn't familiar, have a word with your beardier mates or, if you're feeling intelligent at the weekend, try renting one of Dazza's earlier films such as Pi, Requiem For A Dream or The Fountain.
Because nothing says chill out weekend like several hours of existential angst.
The only details 'leaked' so far – so they could be made up, of course – are that the film will be set 20 years since the termination of the Robocop program... with the powers-that-be deciding maybe it's worth giving it another shot.
Which is handy because otherwise the film would be two hours of rusting law enforcer in a field.
