Ask people at the BAFTAs and certain hotels and Russell Crowe and the words ‘fear of God’ might take on a different meaning.
Can it be then that the actor’s new company - Fear of God Films - is a bit of self-deprecating irony?
According to Variety, this is Crowe’s first foray into film production, and he’s kicking things off with something called Dolce’s Inferno. If the potential self-deprecating irony wasn’t enough, the film is a romantic comedy about an L.A. gossip columnist who ‘falls in love and watches his world spin out of control’.
Crowe is also reportedly lining up a directorial venture about Aussie surf culture to be called, bizarrely, Bra Boys.
On the subject of fear of god - see what we did there? - Disney is risking the wrath of devout types everywhere with a possible movie called All About Adam.
According to Empire, it’s a sideways look at a little bestseller called The Bible - you might have heard of it? - where Adam follows his ex-girlfriend Eve out of Eden and into present day New York and finds out the Devil is the man behind their split.
Why do we get the feeling All About Adam isn’t going to do terribly well in certain southern states?
