Borrell's plane rage

Go Johnny, go, go, go
Razorlight

Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell is going to play a one-off gig to highlight climate change and target aviation emissions.

So said the flyer we got through from his PR people. No, only joking, he wouldn’t waste paper planes like that.

The climatically-aware singer will play in front of a commercial jet at the Science Museum in London on behalf of Friends of the Earth.

If you fancy a chance of winning tickets to the gig on June 3,, go to www.thebigask.com to register.

The gig is hoped to apply pressure on the Government’s new climate change law which currently plans to leave the UK’s share of emissions from international flights and shipping out of a new draft of the law.

Borrell believes it is: ‘unbelievable that the Bill and the Government plans to ignore emissions from aviation and shipping. Those industries should absolutely be included in calculations.’

Yeah, stick it to them.

And to prove he’s serious, representatives from aviation and shipping won’t be invited to the gig in order to ‘highlight the unfairness of the proposed law,’ according to a spokesperson.

So not only are they big, mean polluters, they don’t get to go to the gig either.

That’ll learn ‘em.
