It’s all been a bit of a Blur for gentleman farmer and former bassist Alex James since the heady days of Brit pop.
And now the louche enviro-rocker reckons he would be surprised if Blur don’t make another album.
Chatting at a suitably worthy event – a photographic exhibition highlighting the effects of the Columbian drugs trade - he reckons the only doubt would be the schedules of his former band members not working out.
‘We're all pretty busy but I'd be surprised if it never happens,’ he said.
‘But I would be terrified if it was happening on Monday.’
James is now a media darling and has fought hard for causes as varied as land management, the environment and the drugs trade. The latter he hoovered up in massive quantities during the Brit Pop years. S
till, a new Blur album would be worth waiting for.
