Coldplay, the droning dudes of light indie are giving away the first single from their new album for FREE.

Simply by jumping to www.coldplay.com, fans of Chris Martin and his organic mates will also get a first listen of the music ahead of the album launch on May 6.

The single Violet Hill will be available April 29 at 12:15pm which coincides with the track’s radio premiere.

The same track is also being given away as a free seven inch vinyl with NME, on, yes you guessed it, May 6.

Coldplay are also going to play two free shows at London’s Brixton Academy and New York’s Madison Square Gardens on June 16 and June 23.
