Muse have slammed George Michael’s weekend concerts at Wembley.

The British band, due to play the same venue this weekend (June 16 and 17), decided that Michael being chosen to be the first act to play the new stadium was ‘a joke’.

Just to reiterate then. The band that most people can’t name anything by think it’s a joke that the new Wembley Stadium was opened by a global megastar who’s been in the music industry for 25 years. Just thought we’d make that clear.

According to contactmusic.com, the band’s drummer Dom Howard is the outspoken one on this issue.

‘George Michael doing Wembley is a joke. Who cares? Our show is going to be massive, it's the pinnacle.’

The Muse ‘star’ also admitted, however, that he’s a little nervous.

‘I've been very cocky about it behind closed doors’ - and in the press, mate, and in the press - ‘but I've been sh***ing myself about it as well.’

If you haven’t got tickets for the Muse show, don’t worry. You can always watch a little on Channel 4 with their special on… oh, hang on. Sorry. Their special programme was about George Michael’s show. Because he’s really, really famous.
