Have you wondered why we’ve seen a little more of the brothers grim Noel and Liam Gallagher lately?
Well media watchers might not be surprised that their higher than usual profile has got a lot to do with a forthcoming album, the release and name of which were blurted to the press.
Called Dig Out Your Soul, their first album in three years will be released on October 6 and speaking to the media (see!) Noel declared : ‘I wanted to write music that had a groove.
‘I wanted a sound that was more hypnotic; more driving. Songs that would draw you in, in a different way. Songs that you would maybe have to connect to - to feel.’
Yes, quite.
The band’s seventh album will be preceded by The Shock of the Lighting single released on September 29. Gallagher told the BBC: ‘If The Shock of the Lightning sounds instant and compelling to you, it's because it was written dead fast. And recorded dead fast.’
Mad for it, knobhead, our kid, Manchester City… repeat to fade.
