Hudders gives Wilson the shudders, in the romantic way

Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson are engaged.

Kate dumped the actor last May, blaming his lack of commitment. The split caused Owen a few weeks of emotional problems – which we won't rehash again – and things looked bleak.

But, a healthier Owen and Kate got back together a couple of months ago... and now Kate has been pictured out and about in Boston sporting an enormous rock on the third finger, left hand.

A friend of Kate confirmed the happy news to the News of the World because, let's face it, they're the first people you call when you've got engaged. 'He picked out the ring and went for the biggest one he could find,' explained the source.

'He was nervous about proposing but Kate was thrilled and the whole thing was really emotional.

'The engagement is a natural step forward for them both and Kate’s ecstatic.'

Now, if he can help stop making dumb movies with Matthew McConaughey, we're sorted.
