One of the most talked about projects in Hollywood is gathering a head of steam as Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards script was delivered to five studios last week.
And the rumour mill is working overtime with Leonardo DiCaprio the lastest big hitter to be linked to the scorchingly hot concept flick. He'll be offered the part of a bad guy, a Nazi colonel named Landa, nicknamed The Jew Hunter.
Nice.
Tarantino has reportedly also flown to France to personally court Brad Pitt for the project, as the Jolie-Pitt bandwagon is confined to barracks after the recent birth of their twins.
Pitt is to play Lt. Aldo Raine, aka Aldo The Apache, the gnarled head of the Bastards, a hardcore unit parachuted behind enemy lines in WWII France, with orders to kill as many Nazis as they can. It's a high concept film, don't you know.
Tarantino and mega movie mogul Harvey Weinstein are also finalising the funding of the film and with Pitt and DiCaprio slated for cast, it looks certain to go into production shortly.
Quentin needs to get those signatures first though. Reckon we have a long wait yet.
