Going to download South Park, gonna have ourselves a time
South Park Creators

If you don't have a satellite dish, it's kind of hard to keep up with South Park.

We're not even sure if Channel 4 is still showing it. When they did, they tucked it away so late, you'd have to be on shifts or a caffeine-addict to find it.

So it's with a happy heart that we announce that South Park is now being given away free... by South Park.

With so many clips available on YouTube, creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone decided to just go the whole hog and make their entire back catalogue downloadable for free via their website SouthParkStudios.com.

'We got really sick of having to download our own show illegally all the time, so we gave ourselves a legal alternative,' the two announced in a statement this week.

The site will offer the current episode – as in the one that's just screened that week in the US – for seven days and then take it down for the rest of the month. At the end of the month though, it will be added to the archive.

At the moment, there are 168 episodes available for free download. Best of all, there are currently no commercials although Comedy Central have revealed that the full episodes will soon include ad breaks.

Since the downloads were made available last week, the site has had an amazing three million page views and more than one million episodes have been downloaded.

The full length episodes are currently blocked to IP addresses outside of the UK (unless your pals with the office IT geek), but we're told they will be available soon - in the meantime there are tons of classic clips to enjoy in anticipation.
