Spending several minutes tied to Kate Bosworth sounds like a fine activity.

We're not so sure about the plummetting groundwards bit though.

Yes, the woman who played Lois Lane (badly) in Superman Returns has been soaring through the skies and tandem parachuting – from 15,000ft.

And it sounds like the bloke tied to her probably got a better deal than her 21 co-star Jim Sturgess. Yes, he got to film a sex scene with La Bosworth but she's now telling people she doesn't remember.

'We were both so drunk,' said Kate, according to Contactmusic. 'Jim and I became such good friends, we decided to have a couple of drinks, loosen up and go for it.'

According to Sturgess, the scene became 'sloppy and messy' – just not in a good way. 'I couldn't stand up at one point,' he admitted.

Kate has been doing the rounds to promote the film, and also popped up on Letterman's sofa.

In the film, Kate plays one of a group of MIT students who find a mathematical way around the rules of Blackjack and take Vegas for millions, something Kate was happy to do as she's not the city's biggest fan.

'Everyone I know describes Las Vegas as the adult Disneyland, which I can kind of understand although I think it's a bit more debauched than that.'

Vegas more debauched than Disneyland? Really? Ah, but they hide it well.

'To be honest with you, it's not really my cup of tea,' she added.

Not exactly words of wisdom. But when they come from this mouth, do we care?
