Do you know those mornings when you just can't be bothered? When you know you've got loads to do but...
Damon Albarn apparently doesn't.
The former / sometime Blur frontman already has a claim to being the busiest man in the music industry, with the world music collaborations, the Gorillaz side project, The Good The Bad & The Queen and, most recently, an opera.
Now we hear he's already written 70 songs for the NEXT project.
Albarn's regular collaborator, visual artist Jamie Hewlett, revealed all to the Observer.
He and Albarn have already worked together on Gorillaz, of course, and are currently wowing the crowds with their opera Monkey: Journey To The West.
And soon they'll be bringing Carousel to the stage.
But not that Carousel. June will not be busting out all over, as Hewlett was keen to explain.
Their Carousel is a film and stage project and it's 'even bigger and more difficult than Monkey,' revealed Jamie.
'I've done a lot of visuals and Damon's done a lot of music but we haven’t figured out how they’re going to fit together.
'It's sort of like a film but not with one narrative story. There's many stories, told around a bigger story, set to music, and done in live action, animation, all different styles.
'Originally it was a film but now we think it's a film and it's a stage thing as well. Damon's written around 70 songs for it, and I've got great plans for the visuals.'
Looks like that oft-rumoured Blur reunion may be on hold a while longer. Although, given Albarn's work habits, it might well be next week.
