Brand blasted

Brand: Serial shagging funnyman
russ brand

We like Russell Brand here at MegaStar, unapologetically so…his podcast raises a hilarious belly laugh or two and his commitment to dying art of swordmanship truly has to be admired.

Silliness is part of Brand’s persona, the fella doesn’t have a nasty bone in his body, so when all and sundry round on him after a simple error of judgement, it’s a little unfair.

When Brand was condemned by a rape charity after calling a sex attack hotline during his stand-up act, folk were frothing at the mouth.

The audience in Northampton witnessed Brand call a hotline and claim that he had seen ‘the underpass attacker’, a man police have been hunting following three sex attacks in the area.

‘I had someone come near my underpass. He was dressed atrociously. He looked like Timmy Mallett,’ Brand added.

So far so slightly edgy humour but one-step Brand asked the police handler out for dinner. Fury ensued.

Lynda Yorke of Leicester Rape Crisis blasted Russki: ‘I don't think it's amusing. It's in very poor taste. The issue of sexual assault is often belittled and such callous behaviour is extremely hurtful to the victims.’

The police weighed in: ‘We would discourage anyone from making such hoax or frivolous calls.’

Naturally kind cat-loving Brand was quick to backtrack and was, ‘devastated by the possibility I may have offended vulnerable people.’

He’s apologised. Move on. Back to the shagging Russ.

And let’s catch this scumbag attacker terrorising women that Russell has kindly brought to the attention of the UK.
