What is the Mirror newspaper doing? Something is up and we need to know – they seem to LIKE Naomi Campbell.
Yes, the stroppy, diva-of-all-diva supermodels - who has successfully sued and counter-sued by the paper - has been given guest Editorship of the famous 3am celebrity gossip column for the day.
And what a job she does, telling us she, ‘really likes David and Victoria Beckham’ and that loony-haired funnyman Russell Brand is no longer in her good books because he dissed her mate Kate Moss.
Other gems include her thoughts on Madonna’s kooky religion Kabbalah, slamming it as ‘not a religion. It’s a programme’, and also claiming there aren’t as many supermodels as there used to be.
Give us strength. And an explanation, please Mirror Editor.
Campbell famously sued the rag for a breach of privacy when she was snapped entering a Narcotics Anonymous meeting.
She won. The Mirror appealed and they won. Then she appealed again and won.
The ding-dong legal battles are believed to have cost Campbell and the paper a million quid each and led the then smarmy Mirror Editor Piers Morgan to claim: ‘This is a very good day for lying drug-abusing prima donnas who want to have their cake with the media, and the right to then shamelessly guzzle it with their Cristal champagne.’
But times have changed and a 200 hour community service order against the model for kicking and spitting at police officers in Terminal 5 Heathrow proves she’s not so bad after all. Doesn’t it?
