You don’t hear anything from Coldplay for a couple of years, then three things come along at once.
The band, still riding high with Viva La Vida, have announced that they’ll be releasing an EP around Christmas.
And another album next December.
‘We're going to put an EP out at Christmas,’ Chris Martin told BBC Music, ‘called “Prospects March'” and we're going to release an album next December to end the decade.’
Cheers Chris. That’s kind of what we just said above. Pay attention…
The EP is already in the can and is expected to feature some of the tracks they left off the current album.
This is rumoured to include a ditty called Luna, featuring Kylie Minogue.
The new album however – that’s next year’s new one, not the current new one – is yet to be recorded.
Understandable really as the band are currently rather busy with a world tour.
To be followed, probably, by another world tour next year.
