The Charlie's Angels 2 star, who famously underwent rather a lot of surgery to look the part, has kept it up.

We guess marriage to a younger man will do that.

The latest development though doesn't involve going under the knife. It involves going under the leech.

The 45-year old beauty was on Letterman discussing her quest to find 'the cutting edge in health and healing' and revealed that, when she was in Europe recently, she found something new – and wriggly – to try.

'A month ago I was in Austria doing a cleanse,' she revealed, 'and one treatment was leech therapy.

'These aren't swamp leeches, they were highly trained medical leeches, high level bloodsuckers,' she explained – like that makes a difference?

So why let any leech loose on your body?

'It detoxifies your blood. And they have a little enzyme that when they are biting down on you is released in your blood.

'It crawls into your belly button and it bites down and then you relax and you watch it swell up and get fatter and fatter. And when it's super drunk on your blood, it just rolls over like its drunk in a bar.

'You first feel worse and then you feel better. I'm feeling very detoxified.'

And, perhaps, a little insane? Leeches as a medical remedy were discounted in Europe more than 300 years ago.
