Jade Goody has cancer.

The shock news for the intelligently-challenged reality star came, rather fittingly, while she was on a reality show – the Indian version of the Big Brother show.

Having kissed and made up with Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty – who hosts the show - it all seemed set for Goody to make good on her promise to mend fences after her Celebrity Big Brother race row.

She was given the news in the Big Boss (as it is named in India) diary room that she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer and withdrew from the show.

She told her fellow reality contestants: 'I have cancer', although the news was not boradcast on Indian television.

The Sun reports the star was in hysterics as she made the announcement.

The paper also reports she had undergone hospital tests earlier this month after her third cancer scare.

A friend said: 'Jade was then led out of the house and she is coming back to England to see another consultant. She is completely devastated.'
