Noel’s top 10 bands

Blur… must have been number 11 then, eh Noel?

According to Noel Gallagher, the Beatles are the greatest band ever.

Yeah, yeah, tell us something we didn’t know, Noel.

And he has. The Oasis songwriter – and occasional singer, when Liam’s thrown his toys out of the pram – has been busy compiling his Top 10 Bands of All Time List for the Oasis blog.

‘In the dressing room the traditional debate has started about ‘The Top 10’,’ declared Noel.

‘This means the Top 10 bands of all time. No solo artists allowed. No female artists allowed (which no doubt cost Aqua their rightful place). No collectives allowed (Public Enemy etc.).

‘This is the 1,000th time we’ve been here with this. It never gets any less interesting for me.’

It is, however, getting less and less interesting for the rest of the world. But, for the record here’s the rocker’s definitive Top 10.
