Oasis tour dates

On a radio station near you. Mad for it. Man City. Mad for it, etc

The new album is imminent, the controversial statements have no doubt been prepared and now Oasis have announced their tour details.

And Manchester's most famous sons are kicking off in big style. In, er, Liverpool. 'They are proud of their roots, but they dig Liverpool too and thought they would kick it off there,' a source explained to contactmusic.

Given the obvious influence of the Beatles on the bands music, perhaps it's not so surprising. The tour kicks off at the Echo Arena, Liverpool's new venue, on October 7 and then goes on for another 18 months.

Although, judging by previous Oasis tours, means that Liam will be walking out around October 14.
