Sugababes: We’re Not Splitting

The Sugababes are not splitting up. It’s official.

The now not-so-ironically named band – thank you Heidi and Amelle – have long been rumoured to be calling it a day.

However, to mark the release of their new single Girls, the ‘Babes guest edited the News of the World’s showbiz section. And they were keen to set the record straight about recent tales.

‘It’s simply not true,’ said Amelle. ‘We all get on.’

Which, given the relationship between previous band members and Keisha, is news in itself.

‘There was one story that I was arguing with the girls at a fashion show recently and it was completely made up,’ added the leggy beauty.

‘So on the record, we are NOT splitting up and we are NOT fighting. End of.’

And if they’re not splitting up, they can keep up the spending.

After their last album hit the top spot, the girls splurged a little.

For Amelle, the treat was £18,000-worth of Cartier watch. For Keisha? A holiday with friends to Atlanta for a cool £20,000. And Heidi bought her mum a flat in Liverpool.

‘It’s just nice to give something back to the people who’ve supported us,’ said Heidi.
