Goof-ball Californian surf hottie Cameron Diaz is the only female to make Hollywood's top 10 earners.
I Am Legend, Hancock and The Pursuit of Happyness star Will Smith tops the big bucks Forbes list of outrageous earners, trousering a cool $80m between June 1, 2007 and June 1, 2008, a year in which he was also nominated for an Oscar.
Nice work Willie.
Johnny Depp – who appears casual about the whole Hollywood star thing – is deeply serious about coining it in, as the Pirates of the Caribbean series along with less successful Sweeney Todd bagged him $72m.
But then things go a bit pear-shaped as unfunny, desperate and tired comic actor Eddie Murphy comes in joint third place. The voice of Donkey for Shrek the Third seemed to boost his numbers ahead of some instantly forgettable 'zany' comedys.
Mike Myers took the same as Murphy – a cool $55m – before we get to Diaz on $50m. You'll note Shrek played a major part in Murphy, Myers and Diaz's earnings.
She was followed by Leonardo DiCaprio with $45m, Bruce Willis with $41m, comedian Ben Stiller with $40m and Nicolas Cage with $38m.
Some mediocre acting talent makes the top 10, but hard to believe Diaz is the only bankable female a-lister.
Time to take those acting lessons, then.
