The day David Duchovny checked into rehab for sex addiction in August it was a real case of life imitating his TV show – well, Californication was good but not art.

He played a womanising, hard-drinking novelist in the show and it turns out he’s a womanising hard-living actor in real life.

But he being an American and living in California, sleeping with loads of people is seemingly an addiction for anyone past 21 years old. Just as having more than two beers a week is seen as alcohol dependency.

Anyway, Dave’s lawyer has told the world that he has done his stint in rehab and is well on the way to recovery.

Larry Stein confirmed David's new-found health by saying: ‘David is out of rehab and about to start a new movie.

‘He successfully completed his treatment.’

But is he happy? Let’s hope.
