Bye bye Becks

Becks: Deja vu!

And so the debate rolls on. Yesterday we bemoaned the poor performance of the England side. After a day of contemplation, nothing has changed.

Thousands of miles away, Team GB are making the nation proud and are bringing a smile to everyone on these shores. But in football, the same old debate continues.

Even Harry Redknapp is wading in. Deemed by many to be a potential England manager himself, the Pompey manager reckons we should dump Becks.

‘Becks is a good character to have around and still a good player.’ In other words...drop him like a bunny boiling girlfriend.

Haven’t we been here before? Why are we even having this discussion? When Golden Balls decided he was going to the equivalent of Dagenham and Redbridge in the sun, surely this debate was all but done.

Becks has served this country proud but now his time has come...and gone.

Sad to say but there are better, more determined and motivated players.

We fear his only motivation is the £400k a week salary and not donning the white shirt. Bin the argument, forget him and move on.
