Cristiano Ronaldo: will he stay or will he go? Well it’s all getting a little frustrating.

There are so many rumours flying around the Portuguese ego maniac, he will have a great time reading about himself as he holidays after a lacklustre Euro 2008.

The latest update is that Ronaldo will not be permitted to ‘rot in the stands’ because Fifa rules state players can rip up their contracts if they don't play a certain amount of games.

The red-tops have also been reporting how Ronaldo is ‘dreading’ returning to Manchester and facing Sir Alex Ferguson (The Mirror).

Even if United do let him go, President Ramon Calderon is saying they won’t get the £80m mooted for the winking wing wizard (The Sun).

Real’s unofficial media mouthpiece La Marca state that Real will announce the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo on July 7th. No doubt Fergie will be renewing his subscription.

Arsene Wenger must be chuckling away to himself at the whole affair, after nabbing Aaron Ramsey while Fergie was supping vintage in the south of France (remember Gazza joing Spurs anybody?). He’s bagged another superstar in the making, Marseille and France midfielder Samir Nasri announced a four year deal on his website reportedly worth £15.8m.
