The Premier League title race is well and truly going down to the wire – Chelsea are looking invincible and after an impressive victory at Newcastle – Avram Grant is playing mind games and piling the pressure on Manchester United.

Manchester United have to win at Wigan Athletic and the Premier League title is theirs for a second consecutive season.

Easy-peasy you’d think, Wigan have nothing to play fir and United too are in rampant form after hammering a beleaguered West Ham side 4-1 with ten men on Saturday.

Grant knows his only chance is for United old boy Steve Bruce to hold or even beat United, such is the confidence at Chelsea, there really doesn’t look like any other result than a home win in the Blues final game of the season against Bolton at Stamford Bridge.

‘Now we must beat Bolton and see what United do. The pressure is on them,’ said Grant.

‘I said we will never give up. We have given a good, good battle. Nobody thought about us as a candidate for champions. We will keep on fighting.

‘I have to stay positive. We will fight until the last moment.’

Maybe the last laugh for Chelsea will have to be in Moscow for the Champions League final, Wigan have nothing to play for and they can only stem an onslaught from Ronaldo, Tevez and co.

Blues captain John Terry believes Steve Bruce could do them a favour; ‘I think Wigan will do the Premier League justice,’ said Tezza.

‘Wigan are safe now but with a great manager like Steve Bruce they are going to go for it. ‘If we pick up three points at home to Bolton, we have a very good chance.’

Great Blue sky thinking from Chelsea, maybe they should set their sights on the Champions League final.
