Love him? No room for any more

Everyone is in love with Frank Lampard. He’s pictured in the papers in a pink t-shirt and shorts carrying a vanity case for his handsomely proportioned partner Elen Rives. She loves him.

And for his football career, the Sun and Mirror claim Jose Mourinho love him and has ear-marked him as his No1 summer signing for his new job over at Inter Milan. The Inter board love him too, by the way.

But Chelsea new boss Phil Scolari is quoted by a source as saying he’ll tell Fat Frank that Chelsea love him more than Jose. Meanwhile Elen is not reportedly jealous.

It seems all the transfers will happen in a flurry of post-Euro 2008 activity with Lamps heading in five different direction while it looks a strong possibility that Barcelona duo Deco and Ronaldinho will be Stamford Bridge-bound.

Over at the Euros, Chelsea’s form man Michael Ballack continued his fantastic end of season form with a cracking free kick goal in Germany’s 1-0 win over local rivals Austria.

Germany now meet Big Phil’s Portugal but look out for Croatia who beat Poland with a second-string team. Perhaps an outside tip for glory which would make England fans feel marginally better after the back-to-back defeats to the Croats in qualifying.

Meanwhile Tiger Woods overcame his knee injury to win the USPGA in the 18-hole play-off with Rocco Mediate.

It was not the plucky Mediate who stole the headlines, nor Tiger keeping his record of winning every championship he has led on the final day.

Thinking about his endorsements, sponsorship and merchandising, the mind boggles as to his true worth and earnings.
