Carlos Tevez meets 'Ronaldo'

Risking the wrath of Sir Alex Ferguson’s is not a smart move.

Who knows what is going on behind the scenes at Old Trafford. Publicly Ferguson has remained dignified and played down the charade surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s ongoing love affair with Real Madrid.

Now Carlos Tevez is risking the legendary hairdryer treatment by claiming that United should let Ronaldo go to Real.

‘Manchester United have great players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, of course,’ said the Argentina ace.

‘It's clear that he is a very important player for us but this is a personal decision, which is up to only him.’

Or his agent, mother, sister, current girlfriend, team of hangers on… we hasten to add.

‘I understand Cristiano. Every footballer wants to play at Real Madrid,’ continued Tev. And so does every footballer’s agent.

‘On the other hand, I also think that everyone wants to play for Manchester United.

‘But if what he seeks is something else, I think that should be respected.

‘I have not talked to him but when these things happen, neither side feels good.’

Getting a right royal lambasting from Fergie won’t feel good either, Carlos.

Remember Paul Ince, David Beckham and Roy Keane, get on the wrong side of Fergie and next thing they were unceremoniously out the door.

You wouldn’t want that would you? Unless a club like Real Madrid were sniffing around.
