Introduction

Covid has been the reason why many shows have been cancelled or postponed. The same fear is now reaching the fans of the famous TV showI’m Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!‘ This year the show was supposed to be held in Australia while last year’s location was in Wales. Fans of the show are doubtful that Ant and Dec will reach the Land Down Under.

What is ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!‘ is a Fun British reality show where several celebrities come together to live in a Jungle-like space for several weeks. The company is to crown the title of the King or the Queen of the Jungle.

This show was created by grander television to be shown in the United Kingdom. It is being produced by ITV Studios and has been given the license to have different versions globally, including Germany, France, Hungary, Sweden, United States, India, Romania, Denmark, Netherlands, and Australia.

It is quite an old show as the first episode of I am a celebrity get me out of here was aired in 2002 and was hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly. Popularly known as Ant and Dec, they are one of Britain’s most famous TV show hosts, and Australian fans were also waiting for their witty humour this year. However, with Covid looming all over us, nobody can make any final decision.

Long wait ahead till any confirmation.

It will be months before the fans of this TV show will be able to confirm whether or not they will be able to view the show this year. Even last year, the TV show managed due to covid restrictions to get shot in the United Kingdom’s countryside.

The pandemic and its travel restrictions meet the reality TV show crew changes Gwyrch Castle’s location in Abergele in North Wales. This was in August, and after that, we have not gotten any news whether or not the 2021 series will be in Australia where it is supposed to take place initially or whether the show will remain in its home country.

Situation in Australia

The Australian government has strict instructions for international travellers. Anyone who enters the country has to spend 14 days in a hotel quarantining before entering the country. It will, of course, depend upon the Australian authorities and what they will permit.

If things go smooth, of course, the shooting can occur; however, and inside, the show has commented that nobody can be sure until the crew gets to go back to the Gold coast at the start of autumn. It is then things will fall into place, and a decision will be taken.

Rumours from our favourite hosts

The fuel added to the fire was done by Ant and Dec when they commented that they wouldn’t be missing the jet lag from Australia. This comment made the show’s fans conjecture that probably the show will return to Britain in 2021.

Even in the interview with digital spy magazine, the duo mentioned that they might be going back to the exact location in 2020 for this year. Ant even said that he would be pleased to stay in the UK; however, the weather of Australia would be something that he would miss.

No matter what the result is, we would have to sit and wait. Even if the ‘show is meant to be in Australia’ as indicated by Carolyn McCall, ITV boss, with Covid-19, it is honestly in nobody’s hands at this point.
